Why can't you read in your dreams? I know, this sounds stupid, but I can't remember why you can't read things when you dream in your sleep.
I know it has something to do with one part of the brain. Something like that.

I googled your question and came up with this so maybe your just fucked up....LOL:icon_scratch:
Reading
To dream that you are reading, signifies that you need to obtain more information or knowledge before making a decision. You should review your thoughts, think things through and consider other options.
To dream that you or someone is reading incoherently, signifies worries and disappointments.

Maybe the second part. The dream was about reading a police report for my stole truck, that I didn't own.
My truck is white, in the dream it was blue. I was at a place I never have seen before and I was worried about be late to work.

If ya can remember parts of the dream ya can try and break it down by the colors or things that happened to ya in it and research it through this site.
I use it all the time.

If ya google dreams you'll come up with a few more sites and even a few where you can email someone and have them decifer it for ya...
I know it's a little weird to know some of this stuff but my grandmother used to have a book on decifering dreams so I started reading up on it when I was around 15 cause I find it interesting....
Blue
Blue represents truth, wisdom, heaven, eternity, devotion, tranquility, loyalty and openness. The presence of this color in your dream, may symbolize your spiritual guide and your optimism of the future. You have clarity of mind.
Depending on the context of your dream, the color blue may also be a metaphor of "being blue" and feeling sad
Pick-Up Truck
To see a pick-up truck in your dream, represents hard work. It also suggests the need to return to the basics.
Late
To dream that you are late, denotes your fear of change and your ambivalence about seizing an opportunity. You may feel unready, unworthy, or unsupported in your current circumstances. Additionally, you may be overwhelmed or conflicted with decisions about your future. You feel time is running out and that you do not have time to accomplish all the things you want.
These are just a few key words I searched for ya from above the rest is up to you to decipher but it sounds to me like ya need a break and to relax....
